Keynote Speakers

Here are our confirmed keynote; please check back for updates as we add additional keynote speakers to our timetable. our talks are inclusive and accessible to everyone, although some will be tailored to specific audiences. Each session will last 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A.

Although everyone is welcome to attend all our sessions, Our 'Let's Chat Teen Talk' sessions have been designed for teenagers and younger adults. Please look out for our 'Lets Chat Teen Talk'  logo for all our teen & young adult sessions.

Breast Health

These conversations centre around breast health, we recognise that breast cancer can impact individuals of all genders.

Breast health and awareness 

Targeted towards an adult audience, one of Future Dreams' nurses will discuss the significance of breast self-exams, offer guidance on how to check your breasts with confidence, outline the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, explain how to advocate for yourself, and detail what to expect during the referral process.

Teen & young adult breast health 

Targeted towards teenagers and young adults, a Future Dreams' nurse will cover various aspects of breast health, highlighting its importance and teaching individuals how to perform breast checks with confidence.

Charity Support

Future Dreams breast cancer support

This program is designed for individuals affected cancer, those diagnosed with breast cancer, or those at high risk for the disease. A nurse from Future Dreams will address the significance of mental health and well-being, providing insights on how to foster a positive mindset during diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, they will outline the various support options available for patients and their families.

What is normal?

A must for all ages and genders, Gabz and Anna cover all aspects of menstrual health. They offer an in-depth look at what defines a healthy period, highlight symptoms that may be deemed 'abnormal', and provide tips on how to advocate for your menstrual health or assist others experiencing menstrual health issues.

 

Moreover, this session can also be held as a private session for attending school groups, youth organizations, and students etc.

The Bladder Health UK team will cover everything related to UTIs including prevention strategies, management of recurring infections, and how advocate for additional treatments and tests with your healthcare provider when treatments are ineffective.

Advocating for your Health as a Teenager.

Aimee Gill will address the importance of not feeling ashamed about taboo symptoms related to bladder, bowel, and menstrual health. She'll share guidance on how to communicate your symptoms and concerns with adults, as well as how to advocate for yourself during your treatment and diagnosis journey. Additionally, Aimee will discuss ways to support teenagers living with chronic health conditions throughout this session.
