FAQ

Who can Submit?

Everyone who has endometriosis or has been impacted by endometriosis​

Do I need to pay to submit?

No, taking part is FREE! Although this is a self funded project, so would be grateful for donations to help support 

What is the submission deadline?

There are no deadline, we have ongoing projects in which you can be involved in 

How many submissions can I enter?

We ask that you submit a maximum of 5 submissions initially, in which you can submit more once your initial submissions have been used in our projects. 

What can I submit?

All styles of art mediums & literature inspired by your experiences  with endometriosis

Can I submit from outside of the UK?

YES. This is an international art and literature project. 

Can you help me with inspiration?

Submissions are completely open to interpretation, in which you can be inspired by your endometriosis experiences, be that: pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, surgery, IVF, pregnancy,  relationships, daily life etc 

Will I get paid /get royalties ?

No, unfortunately we can not afford to pay for submissions. This is a self-funded project, in which all profits will go towards overheads, events and projects to support the endometrioses community and increase awareness of endometriosis.  

Are all submissions accepted?

Although, this is not a competition submissions will be selected depending on the suitability of the current project that we are working on. Submissions may also be used as a learning tool within our workshops and speaker events. 

Will I be gifted a copy of the book ?

No, unfortunately we can not afford to gift everyone a copy of the book. When pricing our published material we always ensure that there are affordable options and even free access via Kindle unlimited and the ability to order our books into your library. 

Am I given credit for my submission?

Yes! (unless you want to remain anonymous) Your name will be published along side your work, in some projects we will be able to also include a social media handle or website if you wish to include this. 

How are the published books formatted 

At present all editing and proof reading is undertaken in house. 

What if my art work is not digital ?

We will be in contact with you regarding transporting your work to London (UK). In which we will organise professional photos for publication.

If you have opted in for the exhibition we will then showcase your original work in the gallery.

Will the exhibition be travelled outside of the UK?

We are working with and are continuing to reach out to organisations around the world, to plan international events.

What if my art work is digital ?

We may require you to resend your work to us, to enable us to get a high resolution for print. If you have opted into the exhibition we will be in contact with you regarding how you would like your work displayed / printed.

Will any changes be made to my literature submission ?

No, None! Your words will be printed the way you want them to be read / heard. During the copywriting process spelling & grammar mistakes will be corrected, however you will be notified.

What if my art work is not digital ?

You have two options

1) You can send in a high resolution photo on a white back drop

2) You can send us a scanned copy of your art work. 

We will be in touch if we require you to email us in a better quality image of your artwork for the  project that we select your art for.

Will the exhibition be travelled outside of the UK?

Yes our first art gallery was in Norway, 

We are currently working on dates for the UK and USA gallery viewings. 

What if my art work is digital ?

We may require you to resend your work to us, to enable us to get a high resolution for print. If you have opted into the exhibition we will be in contact with you regarding how you would like your work displayed / printed.

My art work require specialist framing / attachments / a specific way to showcase my work who provides these?

It is your responsibility to provide all attachments and instructions required to display / hang your art work, if this has to be done in a set way. We are more than happy for you to install the work yourself during the set up of the exhibition, please note this must be pre-arranged. We are more than happy to provide nails / screws / string etc to hang a canvas / picture frame / wall hanging etc. Nonetheless, we are unable, for example, to supply a suspension system / moving plates / heavy duty brackets / projector / cotton gloves  etc. Please Email us on contact@project514415.com if your art work can not easily be hung with screws or nails, so that we can work together to show case your work

How do I post / deliver my submission to you?

Once you are selected for an art gallery the host will be in contact with you regarding all the details and delivery address for you to take part.  

Who will be the named author?

Each literature and art piece will be clearly named. 

This is a collaborative project in which everyone who submits will become a collaborator of each project, we will print the name you submitted on the submission form.

Everyone who wishes to remain anonymous will be grouped together as "anonymous members of the endometriosis community"

When will the exhibition dates and venues be realised?

We are still working behind the scenes for dates within the 2024, nonetheless, we are awaiting to see how many and what type of submissions we get in, so that we can hire out suitable venues, to enable everyone's works to be showcased.
