OUR EXPERTS
Gynaecological

A UK charity who provides educational tools, offers workplace and school sessions, and raises awareness for menstrual health conditions and related concerns. With the expertise of our Medical Advisory Board, MHP works to better the education surrounding menstrual health, working for better patient outcomes.
Anna Cooper and Gabz Pearson are the founders of Menstrual Health Project. Two endometriosis and adenomyosis sufferers who connected through the online community and bonded over their shared passion of advocating for more awareness and actions for themselves and for others. These conditions that have controlled their lives due to debilitating
symptoms are also what brought them together and ultimately cofounded Menstrual Health Project.
With the expertise of our esteemed Medical Advisory Board, and in collaboration with BeYou, we have created three toolkits to support your menstrual health and wellbeing. These toolkits are full of accurate, digestible information on various aspects of your menstrual health.
From symptoms of various menstrual health conditions and concerns to treatment options and the diagnostic process, Menstrual Health Project’s toolkits offer comprehensive information, without the confusing medical jargon.
Anna and Gabz work hard to encourage open and honest conversations to create a world where menstrual health, women’s health, gynaecological health and reproductive health are no longer stigmatised or considered a taboo. They want to normalise all these topics within society, leading to people feeling more empowered, informed, heard, and validated.

Lisa Pye
Lisa is a psychology PhD student at the University of Buckingham. Her research aims to explore whether and how living with chronic gynaecological pelvic pain (whether undiagnosed or relating to conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis) impacts on identity. She has explored this idea both qualitatively and quantitatively to increase understanding of how this is experienced and to explore whether there are psychological and affective factors that might support the management of identity challenges whilst living with pelvic pain.
Mental Health

PAPYRUS aims to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by breaking doe the sigma around Suicide. Working with HOPELINE 24/7 which is the charities confidential helpline service providing practical advice and support to young people.

PAPYRUS will be providing information and resources around the prevention of young suicide. Promoting open conversations around suicide.

PAPYRUS will run their SPARK (Suicide Prevention Awareness Resource Knowledge) Workshop

The team’s passion for helping others deal with this specific type of grief comes from a variety of personal experience of losing a loved one to suicide. It all started with our co-founders, Amelia and Emma, who both lost a parent to suicide. With their entrepreneurial spirit and empathetic nature, this double act is determined to do things differently; providing the support needed whilst also opening up the conversation and addressing the stigma.
We strongly believe in the power of conversation and use a variety of initiatives to spark conversations and encourage open dialogues around bereavement from suicide and mental health more generally. In terms of the services we provide, we focus on one-on-one professional support through talking therapies offering our Counselling Service and Helpline.
There are also lots of resources on our website for you to explore that can support different aspects of your grief journey (e.g. books and podcast recommendations).
We’re glad you’ve found us and whatever your situation we hope we can support you today.

You could be any age, rich or poor, of any faith or none, of any ethnicity, sexuality, or gender. You could be anyone walking down any UK street. Whoever you are, a diagnosis of Crohn's or Colitis will be life changing.

Since 1979, Crohn's & Colitis UK has been here for everyone affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

Cancer

Our mission is to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration, and policy change.
Around 56,000 women and 390 men a year in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet, at least 30% of these cases could be prevented through lifestyle changes. That means an estimated 17,000 cases of breast cancer could be prevented, saving millions of lives, avoiding unnecessary suffering, and reducing the cost to the NHS.
It is raising awareness of these preventable factors which drive us. We believe our work can have a significant impact in helping women and men reduce their risk of developing breast cancer.

At Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, our aim is to preserve the health and improve the experience of those with, or at risk of, womb cancer.
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.

Future Dreams provides practical and emotional support for those diagnosed with breast cancer, promotes health awareness and funds vital secondary breast cancer research. In October 2021 the charity opened Future Dreams House, the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK.

Saffiyah
Hi, I’m Saffiyah, but you can call me Saff. I created BrownGirlEndo
because I noticed a lack of ethnic minority representation in the
online endometriosis advocacy space, or at least what my algorithm
was feeding me. Since then, I’ve connected with a global
community of BIPOC/BAME creators and organizations. One of my
main goals has been to amplify these voices through my
“Spotlighting BIPOC Endo Warriors”; series. I share my own journey
as a British Pakistani woman with endometriosis, migraines, and
dysautonomia, focusing on how these conditions, along with the
search for a diagnosis, affect mental health.

The Forum is proud to be independently run and we are not affiliated with any other LGBT+ organisations.
Whilst the Forum supports local LGBT+ organisations in their aims, we remain dedicated to supporting the whole district of North Somerset rather than a single location. We are also determined that our activities, events and HQ remain affordable (often free), accessible and fun, and rely solely on donations and charitable grants to continue operating. It is in this way the North Somerset LGBT+ Forum is unique in what we offer the communities of North Somerset.

Maternity (pre & post natal)

MAMA Academy has been helping to save babies lives since 2012. Sadly, the UK has one of the highest stillbirth rates in the developed world with the majority of deaths potentially preventable. We believe this is unacceptable.
When MAMA Academy first launched, the number of stillbirths began a significant decline for the first time in 20 years which has continued year on year. Currently, over 1300 stillbirths are being prevented every year.
We remain committed to seeing a continuous decline in stillbirth and neonatal death rates.

Maggies Stillbirth Legacy is non-profit organization, working from 2015 for supporting bereaved families. We work for global awareness & support for Stillbirth & Infant Loss. All monies made goes help to try and ease the pain for parents who have lost their baby or child. We do this by providing cuddle cots, cuddle blankets, memory boxes, a support group & more.
Discovering, after Maggie’s birth, that not every family had access to cuddle cots was quite upsetting. I made up my mind to fund raise for an additional cot locally.
Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy Fundraising page went live on Facebook in September 2015, just three months after her death. Alongside my family, friends and other Angel families we auction off donated goods through our Facebook page.
