1-IN-10 Poetry: Sharing the lived experiences of endometriosis.

We are so excited to share with you our first publication: 1-IN-10 Poetry

Written and illustrated by 59 people living with endometriosis, this book delves into first hand accounts of living with the condition and supporting loved ones who are affected. It covers various themes including (but not limited to) gaslighting, surgery, grief, flare-ups, hope, despair, relationships, diagnosis, advocacy and loss through 24 artworks and 64 poems.

Organised into 10 chapters, 6 of which delve into themes significant to the endometriosis community, featuring 9 poems and an artwork reflecting on each theme. The remaining 4 chapters highlight our previous projects completed in the last 2 years.

1. Inspiration: Featuring 10 poems inspired by our 2024 endometriosis campaign, and selected by the artists.
2. Poetry Journaling: Offering 10 creative exercises to inspire your own poem writing.
3. The Results: Presenting the outcomes of our survey shedding light on current experiences affecting the endometriosis community.
4. They Said: Presenting 100 selected comments from the endometriosis community, sharing advice and recounting interactions with medical professionals.

Printed in colour on premium paper the 1-IN-10 Poetry book will be available to purchase on Amazon in English only. We will email out the link to everyone who has RSVP and those on our mailing list.

We have made the decision to sell the 1-IN-10 Poetry for the minimum amount allowed in Amazon to enable the poetry book to be as accessible and affordable as possible. Due to the artworks, we have been charged a premium to print in colour on high quality paper. Unfortunately, we are unable to reduce the sale price further due to amazon commission and printing costs.
